What is the PNC I-Card account?

As an added optional feature, card holders can open an I-Card student plan account with PNC Bank and link it to their I-Card. This will allow the I-Card to function as an ATM card and can be used anywhere MAC is accepted.

Use the I-Card to withdraw money and transfer funds from any PNC Bank ATM - All free of charge. In addition, your I-Card can be used for MAC POS purchases to buy books, groceries, etc.  Use it anywhere that you see the MAC logo and the funds are debited directly from your checking account - Just like you wrote a check!

Where are ATMs located on campus and what services do they offer?

There are four PNC ATMs on campus: two Advanced - function ATMs are inside the HUB, one MAC machine outside the HUB front entrance, and one at the main entrance to Stapleton Library.

At the HUB ATM, you may make deposits, withdrawals, and balance inquiries from your I-Card account, and cash advances from MasterCard and Visa accounts.

At the Stapleton ATM, you may make withdrawals and balance inquiries from your I-Card account and cash advances from MasterCard and Visa accounts.

 


How should I protect my I-Card?

DO NOT:
Punch a hole in your card
Place it in your wallet next to other cards with magnetic stripes or near a magnetic purse or wallet clasp
Put any sticker on it
Carry it in your back pocket
Place it near any heat source

 


Where do I report a lost or stolen I-Card?

Call the I-Card Office in the HUB at (724) 357-1314. There is a $15 replacement fee.

If your card is lost or stolen, and you have an I-Card banking account with PNC, notify the HUB branch of PNC at (724) 465-5581, or call BankCall, PNC's 24-hour customer service line, at 1-(877)-PNC-1000.

Also contact the appropriate departments to obtain temporary cards or passes to use for the following services that apply to you:

Meal Plans: Contact Campus Dining Meal Card Office at Foster Dining Hall for a temporary meal pass (724)357-2347.
Access to Residence Halls: Contact your residence hall office or Campus Police for a temporary access card.
Library Access: Students cannot remove materials from the library until they have their I-Card. Students should contact Library Administration if they have a special need.
 

Whom do I call for refunds, or if I have a problem with the laundry or vending services on campus?

Vending Refund Policies

Following are the telephone numbers and procedures that should be used to contact AVI (snack vendor), Pepsi (soda vendor), and MacGray (laundry vendor) for refund purposes.

  • AVI
    Students should contact the residence hall office to sign up for a refund. AVI will make refunds directly to residence hall offices. Refund locations are posted on each individual non-residence hall snack machine.
  • Pepsi
    Call 1-800-796-7470 x2142. You will be instructed to leave your refund details on a voice mail system. Pepsi will mail you a refund coupon that can be redeemed at the Co-op Store or Giant Eagle.
  • Continental
    Students should contact the residence hall office to sign up for a refund. Continental Laundry will make refunds directly to the residence hall offices.
  • Cash to Card Machines
    Call the Vending Office at (724) 357-3028.  Summer office hours are 8:00am- 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Semester hours are 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.  Please leave a detailed voicemail message, including your name, phone number, and the location the incident occurred.

What if I have a problem with a copier or cash-to-card machine?

Copier Problems - For your convenience a direct access telephone can be found near the Cash-to-Card machine in the library basement. 

Cash-to-Card and Microfilm Problems -  Call the Vending Office at (724) 357-3028.  If you call during non-business hours, be sure to leave a clear message describing the problem, the location of the machine, and your name and telephone number.

 


Can visitors purchase a vending card to use the Smart Chip while on campus?

Yes, vending cards are available to the general public. Directions on how to purchase a vending card and place cash on the Smart Chip are displayed on card dispensing cash-to-card machines located in the HUB,  Folger Dining Hall, and the basement of Stapleton Library. Visitors to campus can use their I-Card Smart Chip in vending machines, to make purchases at the Co-op Store and to make copies in the library.

 


Can students use the I-Card to get into sporting events for free?

Free Regular Season Games with a valid I-card. . Attend IUP Football and Basketball.
