Rules, Regulations and Categories of Usage for the College Lodge and Ski Hut

CATEGORIES OF USAGE:

Officially recognized and Informal Campus Groups with over 50% Association members and representing a legitimate, if temporary interest area, not primarily social will not be charged a fee. However, groups repeatedly canceling will lose privilege of reserving the Lodge and Ski Hut.

THE FOLLOWING GROUPS MUST COMPLY WITH ALL POLICY REGULATIONS FOR ASSOCIATION MEMBERS. IN ADDITION, A RELEASE OF LIABILITY STATEMENT MUST BE SIGNED, INCLUDING A GUARANTEE TO PROCURE MINIMUM INSURANCE LIMITS OF $300,000 COMBINED SINGLE LIMIT OF LIABILITY - COVERING USER AND ASSOCIATION AS ADDITIONAL INSURED, FOR THE SPECIFIED PERIOD.

Private Usage by Association Members: (must have valid I-Card) for primarily family gatherings and important events such as weddings, reunions, showers, birthday parties, etc. (As stated in the policy, a member may not act as a sponsor for usage by an outside group to avoid paying the full fee.)

A refundable cleaning and damage deposit of $100 is required prior to using the Lodge or Ski Hut. Usage payment fee must be made when making reservation. Please notify the service desk (357-2590) within 48 hours in the event you wish to cancel.

Any group reserving the Lodge and/or grounds, who have individuals under 21 years of age ARE NOT PERMITTED TO SERVE ALCOHOL.

Outside Groups Renting the Lodge or Ski Hut and Wanting to Serve Alcohol need to have Host Liquor Liability Insurance, minimum coverage of $500,000 and need to name IUP, the Student Cooperative Association and the Student Union Association as additionally insured.
