About the IUP S.G.A. |
|
The Student Government Association is the recognized voice of the students at IUP. It is authorized by Pennsylvania Act 188 passed in 1982 by the legislature of the Commonwealth of PA to be the officially recognized representative body of the student population of IUP. It is an organization made up of students elected at the end of the spring semester. It is a bicameral congress, made up of the SGA Representatives and the Senate. Senators are members of the University Senate which is comprised of faculty, administration, and students.
Constitution of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Student Government Association SGA is presided over by an Executive Board, several Standing Committees, and the General Assembly. Descriptions of the duties of these branches of the SGA can be found on their respective pages. |
