Next Speak Up IUP event scheduled for February 16, 2009.

 

Thanks to the NAACP which jointly hosted the Fall 2008 Speak Up IUP event. Students presented their concerns to IUP administration in Eberly Auditorium. Issues covered include housing costs on campus, racism on campus, safety in the new suites, late-night parties at the HUB, uses of the student activity fee (and how to receive an exemption), and many others. The SGA would like to thank the Administrators who took time out of their busy schedules to answer questions and respond to the concerns raised by students.

We hope there is an ongoing discussion about these issues as we work together to improve the student experience at IUP.

1st Annual Student Organizations Forum

 

Sponsored by the IUP Student Government  Association and Graduate Student Assembly

Funded by the Student Activity Fee

In a recent survey, presidents of the organizations said that the GSA and the SGA are not as involved with student organizations as they should be and suggested that we host a networking event to bring student organizations together.  This event is intended to develop team building and leadership skills and to allow student organizations, especially those with similar missions, to network.
